Restore Outreach For Women

An outreach of In My Father’s Kitchen

At Restore Outreach for women, our mission is simple: to walk alongside women on their journey toward healing, hope, and wholeness. We’ve built our program around the word SAFE, because that’s what we strive to be—every step of the way.

· S – Safe: A secure, nurturing space where you can grow, heal, and just be yourself.

· A – Acceptance: You are seen, heard, and valued—just as you are.

· F – Faith: We offer a faith-based, Scripture-rooted approach to healing. While we honor all beliefs, our foundation is built on a Biblical worldview.

· E – Escape: We’re here to help you break free from harmful patterns and step into a healthier, more hopeful life.

What We Offer

Restore is a place where women can begin to process trauma and rediscover their strength. Through creative expression, spiritual reflection, and practical tools, we help you take meaningful steps forward. Our caring team is trained in trauma-informed care and is here to support you with compassion and understanding. We use music, art, and Scripture to explore the effects of trauma and how to move through it with grace and courage.

Who Is Restore For?

This program is for women who are currently experiencing homelessness and the trauma that often comes with it. Whether you’re living outside, in an abandoned building, couch surfing, or staying in a shelter—Restore is a safe place for you.

There’s no cost to attend. We just ask that you come sober or clear-minded enough to participate and engage.

When & Where

Location: In My Father’s Kitchen 501 Hawley Ave (Corner of Crouse & Hawley) Time: Fridays, 9:30–11:30 AM Shelter pick-up begins at 9:00 AM

How to Sign up

· If you’re unsheltered (living outside, in an abandoned building, or couch surfing), just walk in—we’re here for you.

· If you’re at the Salvation Army Women’s Shelter, ask your care manager to add you to the Friday pick-up list.

· While weekly attendance isn’t required, coming regularly helps you get the most out of the program.

What to Expect

Each session is designed to empower you with knowledge, tools, and encouragement. Here are just a few of the topics we’ll explore together:

· Understanding Trauma: Learn what trauma is, how it affects your body and mind, and how to begin healing.

· Overcoming Shame: Discover the difference between guilt and shame, and how to break free from the lies shame tells us.

· Managing Triggers: Identify your personal triggers and develop healthy ways to respond when they arise.
